Social media is fast becoming one of the most powerful tools for business communication. Social media has changed the way we communicate with each other, especially in business. I want to focus specifically on strategies for using tools like LinkedIn. LinkedIn has peaked as the biggest online networking platform for professionals. It promotes a space for businesses, as well as for individuals to search for employers and employees, join groups and discover, meet and befriend with each other. It’s an extensive community and network that can be incredibly fruitful. Let’s take a look at some strategies for doing well on LinkedIn. When creating your LinkedIn profile, use a professional, clear and recent photo of your face. It can show your personality, but be aware that humans are visual creatures and your photo will be the first impression your profile visitor will see before they even read the content. Take the time to fill out your entire profile. It reflects what you want to showcase on LinkedIn and encourages others to engage more deeply with you. When documenting your work experience on LinkedIn, be as complete as possible. Try to demonstrate that you can articulate a behavioral situation and an outcome from your past experience to describe your job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities. Consider setting up a specific URL using LinkedIn profile settings to uniquely identify you. When setting up your profile, turn off your activity feed. To do this, click Edit profile, then scroll down to your activity feed. If you disable your activity stream, all actions while editing or updating your connections will be hidden. A word about inviting people to join your network is important, but the language of your invitations is imperative. Personalize your invitation for the person you’re sending, stating the specific reasons for your request and asking them to connect.

Here we will talk about how social media marketing helps. The best way to understand how social media marketing helps businesses is to understand the top reasons why it does so. Your customers check all major social media on their phones. Social proof is part of the buying process these days when someone is analyzing who they are going to do business with. They will usually visit your website and might do some research. They will see how your online reputation looks like. And these days, they also check social proof. Do you have followers? The assumption is that if you don’t have subscribers, you probably don’t have customers. Do you want to have those kinds of assumptions about your business? People always want references when considering who to do business with. They used to ask their friends. This is still happening today. People are constantly asking for recommendations and looking for suggestions on social media. So, if you’ve noticed a drop in your referral activity, you’ve noticed a drop in your social media marketing presence compared to your competition. So that’s a good reason why you need to reinforce it. Social media builds brand awareness. Brand awareness is critical to your success as someone may not be able or willing to buy something today but will in a week, month, six months or a year. By staying in front of these people on social media, it builds brand awareness. When they finally have to buy your product or service, they think of you first, not your competitor. You need to evolve. Marketing will always be necessary. A business needs marketing to survive. The way you market will always be changing and evolving. And that’s exactly what happened with social media. So, I hope these tips will help you better understand why social media marketing is important and how it can help you grow your business and take you to the next level.

Today we’ll discuss site speed rankings and how to increase your website speed. So, when it comes to website speed, this is an important factor of SEO and ranking on search engines, but not the most important. But still, we do need to talk about it because a lot of people have issues with websites.

Website speed varies depending obviously on what CMS you’re using, and how it’s consuming the bandwidth of the server. This would be maybe optimizing images so you could do this manually depending on how many images you have, and I would recommend using Tiny PNGs. You can drop in up to 30 images at a time. This will compress them. Usually, around 50% to 60% depending on the size, and then also you can re-upload those to the site and put them on the correct pages. Now let’s say you have hundreds of images and it would take 10s of hours to compress these and re-upload them. I mean I know some clients even have thousands of images. I use a plugin called short pixels. A plugin you can put onto your website. I know plugins are sometimes able to slow down your site, but when you have hundreds of images that maybe are megabytes, 10s of megabytes, or hundreds of kilobytes, a plugin that takes a few megabytes to cut down hundreds of megabytes is worth it and you will see dramatic improvement with your site speed. Some other things I would talk about with site speed. Parsing your CSS and your JavaScript and where it’s at on the page and how things are pulling from the page. This could also be moving the code to the bottom of the page into the HTML tag and that under the head tag and then also could be lazy loading your images so you’re displaying the content on the page and then the images pop up after. An example of this would be when you slide down on a website and this would be affected. With CSS and images coming in and then showing up, that’s when you Scroll down on the page and then it’s lazy loading that when it’s visible to the user rather than loading it all at once, even though you’re not looking at the bottom of the page. So, these are some ways that you could dramatically increase your site speed.

It is important to know exactly what you’re going into an auction. Have you been at a real estate office, an auctioneer room, or at the property being sold? When you arrive, you’ll usually have to register to be able to bet. From there, you may be given a bidder number and the time the auction will start. If you’re at the auction, you’ll probably do your bidding, but if you can’t, an agent or a support person can do it for you.

Most of us know the basics of how an auction works. You need to factor in the reserve before the auction even begins. This price is called the reserve. For a bid to be successful, it needs to be higher than all of the other bids and higher than the reserve too. If the reserve doesn’t get met, there are a few options. Alternatively, the auctioneer can try to negotiate an even higher bid. If the seller is prepared to accepts the bid, then the auction will continue with this higher bid as the new reserve. And if the seller doesn’t want to reduce the reserve, they can close the auction and look at other ways to sell the property for a price that suits them. So now you know the basics of how your average option works, but there’s always plenty more to learn to be well prepared for more visits.

In this article, we will be learning about the difference between Drupal and Joomla. So, let’s say you want to develop a website but you are confused between the two CMS. Let’s start with the differences. If you want to go for a complex website, you can easily go for Drupal. But let’s say you want to only focus on an eCommerce website, then Joomla is considered better than Drupal. You can develop an eCommerce website in Drupal but Joomla is considered quite efficient in this kind of work.

The next point is loading time. Drupal is considered better than Joomla in terms of loading time. The loading time is less if you are developing a website in Drupal according to a survey. So, in this case, Drupal wins the race.

The next one is maintenance. Maintenance of a Drupal website is quite difficult. In that case, Joomla is quite easy to manage and maintain. Because it’s not so complex.

The next point is popularity. Drupal is less popular than Joomla. Drupal is mainly used by around 2.2% of website administrators. Joomla is used by around 3.3 percent. Joomla is more popular than Drupal.

The last point is plugins and themes. Drupal has a lot of plugins, far ahead of Joomla in comparison. If you need more choices, you can easily go for Drupal because it will give you more plugins, modules, and free themes.

A brief introduction to some popular PHP frameworks. This is a survey of PHP framework popularity showing which PHP frameworks people prefer to use both at work and in-home projects. The detailed results are quite interesting and well worth a read.

By far the most popular framework at the moment is Laravel. This framework has almost every feature already included, such as a database access library, its templating engine, lots of helpers, code generators, and plugins and more. It has excellent documentation and as it’s so popular it has a large community online with many websites offering tutorials so you can learn Laravel easily and sites where you can get help quickly when you need it.

A disadvantage of Laravel is that being so full-featured means it needs a fairly powerful web server to run well. If you don’t need all the features of a full-fat framework like Laravel, then a microframework like slim might be better. With slim, you can write applications that only do what they need to do. It provides a dispatcher and router. That accepts an HTTP request and returns a response and that’s it. As it’s a microframework, the codebase is small and it doesn’t need a powerful web server to run and would run well on shared hosting.

If speed is your main concern, then Falcon is the framework for you. Falcon is a full stack framework that is written in C and installed as an extension to the web server. This means that the framework is compiled code instead of interpreted code in the case of PHP, which runs much, much faster. Like Laravel, it includes its templating language and libraries for database access and anything else you can think of. The only downside is installing Falcon is a bit more complicated than installing a framework written just in PHP like Laravel, but once you’re up and running, it’s comparable to Laravel for features.
