Koo achieved nearly 60 lakh downloads in just one year of operation. Aprameya Radhakrishna, co-founder and CEO of Koo, said she has aggressive plans to become one of the largest social media platforms in the world in the coming years. All the Indians cheer them that they will arrive soon. Tiger Global is the right partner to make this dream come true.

Existing investors from Koo, Accel Partners, Kalaari Capital, Blume Ventures and Dream Incubator also took part in the round. Koo announced last week that it has met the compliance requirements of the new 2021 Interim Guidelines before the May 25 deadline set by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Koo announced earlier this month that it was rolling out a unique feature that would allow users to speak and type messages without using the keyboard in regional languages other than English. The feature called “Talk to Guy” helps Koo users express their thoughts and words are displayed on the screen at the touch of a button. The local micro blogging platform Koo, founded last year, has reached 60 Lakh users in a very short time and is expected to reach 10 Crore users by the end of this year.
