The excitement surrounding the announcement last week of Nintendo’s collection of classic Mario games was quickly dampened by the news that it was a limited release. Nintendo will be releasing the Super Mario 64 (N64), Super Mario Sunshine (GameCube) and Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) Super Mario 3D All-Stars collections by September 18. You can buy it in physical or digital form for $59.99 and pre-orders are highly recommended. If you want the game in a shopping cart, pre-order it ASAP. Nintendo will only sell the collection until the end of March next year and to our knowledge, it will never return.

Inevitably, as Nintendo Life reports, some people who have pre-ordered a physical copy of the collection are already trying to sell it on eBay. The prices are ridiculous. You can find a few copies for around $90, but there’s a lot more north of $100. Unfortunately, it looks like they’ll be sold out if Nintendo can’t keep up with the demand for physical release and especially as Christmas approaches.
