The Women in Business group will host a virtual seminar this June to help women learn how to steer their businesses. Heitman will discuss the background of target market profiles, their business purpose, why you should have them, and how to create them. Heitman holds an MA in Strategic Communication and Leadership and Emerging Digital Media from Maryville University.

While the virtual workshop is aimed at women, anyone can participate. The seminar is hosted by the Missouri S&T Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Women in Business Group. The Women in Business group offers women access to opportunities for learning, networking and career growth.

People interested in upcoming group activities and events can join the LinkedIn Women in Business – Missouri group. The Missouri S&T SBDC provides business consulting and support to aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses in the fields of management, start-ups, business acquisition, corporate sales, marketing, financial analysis, human resources, operations management, succession planning and commercialization of technology. SBDC is an expansion partner of the University of Missouri and is part of the statewide SBDC network of Missouri, funded in part by a partnership agreement with the US Small Business Administration.
